2024 Review
I had hoped for 2024 - The Year of Expansion to be a somewhat big year (hint in the name), but sometimes life comes at you fast.
I dodged some curveballs, became a permanent UK resident, moved out of London, went back to solving problems on a global scale, became a platinum OMVP (🎉), and had some great times along the way.
In the expansion theme, I also went to a few new places and experienced new cultures. For once my Flighty passport looks a bit more interesting.
Focus Areas of 2024
- Exercise at least three times per week: My target was to do 150 workouts for the year and I did 152, winning. This year I’ll be a bit more strict with what counts as a workout. The chart shows a noticeable average lift. ✔
- Prioritise reading by default: I read a lot more, and the content was better as well. Going deeper with this trend in 2025. ✔
- Consider the healthier food option: As usual my eating habits fluctuate between being good and going off the rails. Did a lot better in 2024 due to the meal delivery services, but could still do better going forward. 🤷♂️
- Complete the Hobonichi Techo for 2024: I did until it stopped adding value then I put it away for a few months. The Hobonichi is back in 2025 in a much bigger way. 🤷♂️
- Maintain savings rate of 35%: Yis. ✔
